Attorney Jill Grim opened a private law practice in 2009 to provide legal services to the citizens of Sumner County. She formerly worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Tennessee in Nashville.

Ms. Grim is experienced in handling a wide variety of legal matters. She will be happy to speak to you about any of your legal issues and if your matter is outside of Ms. Grim's areas of expertise, she will work to help you find someone who can effectively handle your case.   

She and her husband live in Hendersonville, TN. They have three sons, all of whom are in the engineering field. One is a p.h.d engineer in Colorado; one is an engineer at Nissan in Decherd, TN, and one is a senior chemical engineering major at the University of Tennessee. Go VOLS!

Jill Grim Law, PLLC is a solo practice law firm in Hendersonville, TN, just outside of Nashville.  Attorney Jill Grim is experienced with a wide variety of legal matters and is committed to providing excellent customer service.  She cares about your legal issues – she will listen to you and address your concerns.

As an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Tennessee, Ms. Grim practiced in various state trial courts and appellate courts across the state, as well as in federal court for the Middle District of Tennessee.  She handled civil litigation matters involving termination of parental rights at the appellate level, constitutional law issues, civil rights claims, discrimination claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and various tort issues. In addition, she wrote Attorney General Opinion Letters interpreting state law.

Prior to her Assistant Attorney General appointment, Ms. Grim worked as a law clerk in the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.  There, she assisted with litigation to protect consumers against fraud, unfair business practices, unlawful Internet pyramid schemes, sales of defective merchandise, price gouging, and other consumer issues under both the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act and federal laws.  She also wrote consumer information bulletins about Internet safety, how to select a reputable moving company, and Chinese tire recalls.

During law school, Ms. Grim worked as a certified legal intern for the State of Florida, where she prosecuted criminal misdemeanors under the direction of an Assistant State Attorney.  She also worked as a law clerk for a general practice law firm, where she assisted with the preparation of wills, real estate transactions, child custody matters, divorces, and personal injury lawsuits, as well as trial preparation for criminal defense work.
